Carolyn Jean Johnson, 63, of Cutler, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at her home. She was born June 8, 1961, in Indianapolis to Raymond and Bobbie (Surrett) DeWitt. She married Ray Johnson in 1980 and he survives.
Carolyn was a graduate of Pike High School in Indianapolis. She worked for the phone companies in Indianapolis during their transitions, eventually retiring from AT&T. She had a heart for giving and supporting causes that helped others. She was a supporter of United Way and was a member of Pioneer Club that did a lot of charity work. She enjoyed gardening, reading, boating, swimming, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was known for her positivity and joyful demeanor. She was loved by all that knew her.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her mother, her daughter, Amanda Marie Rose (Abraham) Pedroza; brother, Eddie (Debbie) DeWitt; and grandchildren, Weston and Mateo Pedroza.
She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Kimberly K. Boucher; and brother, Jeffrey DeWitt.
