Carroll County 4-H is gearing up for an exciting 2026 fair season with a full slate of activities, updated project opportunities, and scholarship offerings for members.
2026 Carroll County 4-H Fair Schedule – July 2026
The annual 4-H Fair will feature a variety of contests, shows, and activities for all ages:

July 6-11: Sewing judging, building project check-ins, and mini judging for English Horse & Pony Show.

July 12-17: Livestock shows, including goat, sheep, swine, poultry, dairy, rabbit, and dog shows. Additional events include the parade, horse contest, premier show, Royal Show, awards program, and auction.

July 18: Fair cleanup, breakfast, and horse makeup day.
Purdue University Extension – Carroll County is coordinating the event and providing support for fair activities.
2026 Project Updates
Carroll County 4-H has announced several changes and additions to its project divisions:

Senior livestock showmanship champions who do not win the Royal Showman will not have to sit out the following year in the Senior Showmanship division.

Outdoor cooking divisions are no longer restricted to meat type.

A Commercial Class has been added for the meat goat show.

There will be a home-born and raised class for both males and females of each livestock species.

A Gas Pro Stock division has been added for Scale Model tractors.
These updates provide more flexibility and opportunities for 4-H members to showcase their skills and creativity.
State and Local Scholarships
State Scholarship Deadline – January 25, 2026
Indiana 4-H Foundation Scholarships are available for qualifying 4-H members:

Accomplishment Scholarship: Grades 10-12

Club Scholarship: Incoming Purdue University freshmen

Senior Year Scholarship: Seniors in their final year of high school
Local scholarships from Carroll County 4-H will be available later in the spring. Additional scholarship opportunities include the Carroll County Ag Association and Farm Credit Mid America.
Members are encouraged to mark their calendars and take advantage of these opportunities to participate in the fair and apply for scholarships, continuing the tradition of excellence in Carroll County 4-H.
