Opening Days: Setup and Project Judging (July 6–8)
The fair kicks off with sewing judging and fair setup on Monday, July 6, as exhibitors and volunteers prepare the grounds.
On Tuesday, July 7, and Wednesday, July 8, the focus shifts to building project check-in and judging, as 4-H members present their non-livestock exhibits for evaluation.
Midweek Livestock Action Begins (July 9–12)
The fair moves into livestock competitions beginning Thursday, July 9, with building project judging continuing and early animal-related activities underway.
By Saturday, July 11, events ramp up with English Horse & Pony Show (9 a.m.), Mini Judging, and Llama arrivals (8–10 a.m.), drawing participants and spectators to the fairgrounds.
Sunday, July 12, brings a full day of livestock activity, including:
- Goat, sheep, poultry, and rabbit arrivals (7–10 a.m.)
- Parade at 1 p.m.
- Llama show at 3 p.m.
- Horse contesting at 5 p.m.
- Beef arrivals in the evening (7–9 p.m.)
Livestock Shows & Competition Week (July 13–15)
Monday, July 13, features major livestock shows including:
- Swine arrivals (5–8 a.m.)
- Poultry Show at 9:30 a.m.
- Sheep Show at 5 p.m.
Tuesday, July 14, includes:
- Western Horse & Pony Show at 8 a.m.
- RC Truck/Scale Tractor Show at 9 a.m.
- Meat Goat Show at 6 p.m.
Wednesday, July 15, brings another full schedule:
- Beef/Dairy Show at 8 a.m.
- Cat Show at 10 a.m.
- Rabbit Show at 1 p.m.
- Dairy Goat Show at 6 p.m.
Featured Day: Swine Show Live on HoosierlandTV (July 16)
Thursday, July 16, is one of the most anticipated days of the fair. Events include:
- Swine Show beginning at 7:30 a.m.
- Pocket Pet Show at 10 a.m.
- Premier Show at 5 p.m.
- Royal Show at 7 p.m. (with animal release following)
The Swine Show will be broadcast live on HoosierlandTV.com, giving viewers the opportunity to watch one of the fair’s signature livestock competitions in real time. The coverage will also be archived onHoosierlandTV, allowing viewers to watch it later at their convenience.
Final Day: Awards and Auction (July 17)
Friday, July 17, concludes major competition with:
- Dog Show at 8 a.m.
- Awards Program
- Livestock Auction at 6 p.m.
Closing Day (July 18)
The fair wraps up on Saturday, July 18, with cleanup activities, breakfast, and Horse Makeup Day, as participants and volunteers close out the week.
