Carroll County Leader Set To Speak At National 2024 Stand Up Rural America Summit

A Carroll County leader is slated to speak at the 2024 Stand Up Rural America Summit to discuss topics of economic development as they relate to the Carroll County community.

The event is scheduled to run from July 31 through Aug. 1 and will feature national representation from across the country. The event will feature more than 20 nationally renowned subject matter experts and successful economic development practitioners, including Carroll County Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Jake Adams.

The topics will include planning, leadership, housing, entrepreneurship, downtown revitalization, marketing, regionalism, BRE, workforce, arts and culture, tourism, communications, livability, case studies and more.

The event will be held at the French Lick Resort in Indiana and will see speakers such as Johnny Quinn, Shellie Phelps Whitfield, Will Bagget, Courtney Zaugg, Blaine Zimmerman, Chuck Franz, Lisa Abbott, Denny Spinner, Jake Adams, Brittany Cox, Lisa Hurley, Alex Philips, Victoria Herring and many more.

During the event, Lorie Vincent will act as a team captain for the Rural Trailblazers while Brad Thomas acts as a team captain for the Rural Rock Stars.

The event will also include the presentation of the Jim Walton Community Impact Award.
