Carroll County Sheriff’s Department Honors National Police Week

Carroll County Sheriff’s Department

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and designated the calendar week in which May 15 falls as National Police Week. Established by a joint resolution of Congress, National Police Week serves as a time to recognize and honor the brave law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty while protecting and serving others.

This week also gives us the opportunity to recognize the men and women who proudly wear the badge every day. Law enforcement takes a special kind of person — one committed to service, sacrifice, and protecting their community. Words like Honor, Integrity, and Courage are just a few that describe the dedicated Deputies and Police Officers serving right here in Carroll County.

To all law enforcement officers: thank you for your commitment, your professionalism, and your unwavering dedication to keeping our communities safe.
