Catherine “Cathe” Marie Kas, 73, of Frankfort, died December 9, 2021 at Wesley Manor. She was born June 19, 1948 in Akron, Ohio to the late Theodore & Katherine (Garnick) Dahlke. She was previously married to Dennis Kas, and they have remained great friends.
Cathe was a 1966 graduate of Garfield High School in Akron, OH, received her BA from University of Akron and her Masters from Purdue University. She taught 6th grade, then 3rd grade at Clinton Prairie for 38 years, retiring in 2011. She was a member of St. Matthew United Metho
dist Church. Cathe enjoyed Bible study with her retired teacher friends and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son: Austan (Ashley) Kas of Fort Wayne, daughter: Cheyenne (Chris) Taylor of Frankfort, step-son: Jade (Crysta) Kas of Clarks Hill, brother: Ted Dahlke of Akron, OH, 6 grandchildren, Brady, Sydnie, Charlie, Jacoby, Xyan and Jalen.
Funeral Services:
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday December 15, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 16th at the funeral home.
