Clinton County Republican Chairman Jim Moyer has announced that he has received word from the Clinton County Clerk that a vacancy exists in an elective office as Jami Pratt has resigned as Center Township Board Member.
A caucus will be held on Saturday, February 23, at 10 a.m. in the Council Chambers in Old Stoney to fill this vacancy. Only Republican precinct chairmen in Center Township, including Frankfort, will vote.
A person wishing to be a candidate for this position must file a Declaration of Candidacy with the Republican chairman before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20. A Declaration of Candidacy (Form CEB-5) may be obtained from Republican headquarters or the City Clerk-Treasurer’s Office in Old Stoney at 301 E. Clinton St., Frankfort, or in the County Clerk’s Office in the Courthouse.
Following the election, the County Clerk will be notified of the selection on Monday, February 25, and the new board member takes office on that date.
