Fourth Individual Joins Race for Center Township Trustee

A fourth individual has filed to run for the vacant Center Township Trustee position as Cory Boyles filed late Tuesday afternoon. Boyles now joins Jami Pratt, Steve Teegarden and Tom Bush interested in the post.

A caucus will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Old Stoney. Clinton County Republican Party Chairman Jim Moyer said the caucus winner will be determined by a majority of the precincts that are at the caucus. The new Trustee takes office at noon on Monday, March 9.

The Center Township Trustee position became available when Kevin Evans announced he was resigning the position to take a position with Abilities Services Inc. in Frankfort.

That’s not the only position available in the city as another caucus has been slated to determined the vacant Frankfort Clerk-Treasurer position.

So far, three individuals have filed for the position. They are current Clinton County Treasurer Carol Bartley, Utility Service Board Auditor and Secretary Andrew Day and Catherine Hale.

Candidates have until 5 p.m. on Monday, March 9, to file their intent for the position, which will be determined by a caucus at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at Old Stoney. Moyer said the caucus winner will be determined by a majority of the precincts that are at the caucus. The new Clerk-Treasurer will take office on Friday, March 13.

The Frankfort Clerk-Treasurer position became available when Judy Sheets was named Mayor of the City of Frankfort in a caucus held February 22.
