Cause of Delphi Avenue Fire Ruled as Arson

Frankfort Firefighters responded to the report of a fully involved structure fire on Delphi Avenue at approximately 2:45 Wednesday morning.

When units arrived everyone was out of the structure with flames and smoke visible. Firefighters worked the scene for over three hours with no firefighter injuries reported. Frankfort Fire Department Investigator and Battalion Chief Jeff Cline responded to the scene at the request of the officer in charge, Captain Josh Uitts, to conduct a fire scene examination. The cause of the fire has been ruled arson by Investigator Cline.

In a joint investigation involving Cline and Frankfort Police Department Detective Tom Dillingham an arrest had been made in connection with the fire. The name of the suspect will not be released until formal charges are filed.
