CC Youth Theatre Play Scheduled for Early January

The Clinton County Youth Theatre and the Friends of the Frankfort Public Library are proud to announce our Winter 2020 production, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe dramatized by Joseph Robinette from the story by C.S. Lewis.

The Winter Play will be held in Skanta Theatre at the Frankfort Community Public Library on Thurs.- Sat., Jan 9-11 at 7 p.m. and a matinee at 2 p.m. on Saturday.  Tickets are $7 and will be available for purchase at the Circulation Desk on Monday, December 9. The cast is comprised of Luke Hodge, Stephanie Lynch, Jayden Sallee, Colleen Elliott, Tyler Duarte, Sydney McCullough, Isabelle Schilling, Ben Hodge, Kelly Hodge, Cayden Carter, Cage Bowman, Layla Shifflett, Emma Marshall, Cynthia Roche, Jessica Roche, Kendall McCullough, Kenzie Jagger, Kyaela Corkwell, Zach Kurth, Mia Walker, Nevaeh Platt, Campbell Carter, Heidi Nance, Reynah Willard, Jalin Borwn, Danika Chandler, Caitlen Douglass, Jessica Adams, Bridget Moore, Maddie Allen, Lizzie Kurth, Sadie Sheets, and Maris Freeman.

The production is directed by Anthony Bacon with assistance from Natali Bacon. He is a returning director whose past CCYT titles include Stuart Little, Wizard of Oz, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Matilda– in which both Natali and Anthony performed cameo roles. Bacon enjoys working with Youth Theatre because it is a confidence booster and a relationship builder for students. Psych Central reports that live theatre research “found significant benefits in the form of knowledge, future cultural consumption, tolerance, historical empathy and critical thinking for students”(Peterson, 2018). Attending The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe will be a rewarding experience for all ages.
