CCSI–SARE will host an Introduction to Soil Health training designed to provide a basic understanding of soil health systems and the fundamentals of crop production. The course is geared toward newer staff and agricultural professionals, particularly those who have not completed an undergraduate soils science course or who do not have a background in agriculture.
The training will cover key foundational topics, including:

Principles of soil health

Basic soil health indicators
This introductory course is intended to build a strong knowledge base for participants who are beginning their work in agriculture or natural resources and want a clearer understanding of how healthy soils support productive cropping systems.
The training will be held virtually on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Interested participants are encouraged to register in advance to attend.
