Cecilia “Cel” Luce (Ritchie), 71, of Lafayette, passed away at 6:00 am April 27, 2023, at Franciscan Hospital in Lafayette. She was born on August 29, 1951, to the late Albert and Mary (Smithwick) Ritchie. She married Daniel Luce Jr. on December 9, 1972, in Michigan, who preceded her in death on January 3, 2022.
Cel had worked at NHK for over 25 years as a quality control associate. In her free time Cel had a true knack for woodworking and construction. She accomplished large projects single handedly ranging from outdoor patios to gazebos. She was known for being the “Jack of all trades, and master of all.” Cel had a true gift for being a seamstress, painter, photographer, and much more. There was no project or hobby that intimidated her, she was able to do anything that she set her mind to.
Surviving Cecilia are her children; Chris (Rebecca) Luce, Angela (Matthew) Anslover, siblings; Russell Ritchie, and Randall Ritchie, grandchildren; Krystin Gillis, Kit Luce, Bailey Luce, Nichole Luce, Alex Gillis, Ashley Williams, Destiny Metzger, Allyssa Anslover, and Cheyenne Anslover, and a Great- grandchild; Amelia Luce.
Cel was preceded in death by a sister; Melanie Harris.
