Clinton County Central Dispatch announced that two trainees recently attended a training to prepare them for calling pursuits in the county.
The department announced that trainees Mark Wagoner and Sydney Hensley attended the Integrated Public Safety Commission’s Emergency Vehicle Communications Training yesterday, Feb. 26 at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy to learn new information that they will bring to Clinton County.
The class is free and available for dispatchers who have never experienced calling a pursuit as well as seasoned dispatchers who wish to keep improving their skills.
During the training, trainees learn about components of vehicle and foot pursuits, broadcasting principles, documentation, interoperability talk groups and other topics. The class stands as a hands-on learning experience of calling pursuits that has been set by national standards.
