Central Indiana Under Winter Weather Advisory Until 7 A.M. Tuesday

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Storm Advisory for portions of central, east central, north central and west central Indian from 10 p.m. Monday night to 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.

A period of heavy snow is expected with total snow accumulations around 2 to 3 inches expected. That will make for slick and hazardous road condition, which could impact the morning commute.

You can expect a period of heavy snow late this evenings that will last a couple/few hours before transitioning to a mix of rain and snow overnight, and finally changing to all rain by or around daybreak Tuesday morning. Show should accumulate quickly during this period of highest rates.

Affected areas are Clinton, Carroll, Boone, Tipton, Delaware, Fountain, Hamilton, Howard, Madison, Montgomery, Parke, Randolph, Tippecanoe, Vermillion and Warren counties.
