Frankfort High School junior Sydney Cesare shot an 88 Tuesday in sectional play at Coyote Crossing to advance to regional play on Saturday.
Other FHS scores were Emilee Shipley at 106, Tori Hopkins at 125, Raelyn Mitchell at 130 and Karleigh Bessler at 133. As a team, Frankfort shot 449.
FHS Downs Prairie in Volleyball
Frankfort defeated the Gophers on Thursday evening, 3-1. Game scores were 27-25, 18-25, 25-22, 25-14.
Leading the way for the Hot Dogs was Ashley Timmons with a season best of 19 kills and 24 digs. Chloe Roberts also had a big night with 10 kills, 19 digs, and serving 11 points for the team. Lindsey Gay continues to run the offense well with 41 assists and 11 kills. Allyson Timmons also had a season high of 10 kills, and Tarah Martinez showed extreme composure with three aces and 17 digs. Morgan Adamson has 3 kills with a solo block, Maicee Sterrett had 7 digs, and Kylie Norman had an ace and 13 digs. Sydni Whitaker came in to serve at a key moment and had an ace.
The team is 2-0 in the county and travels to Michigantown on Tuesday to face off against Clinton Central.
Prairie is now 10-13.

Frankfort Defeats Tipton
The varsity volleyball team won a thrilling five game match on Tuesday evening in Case Arena. Fighting through Tipton’s tough defense, seniors Ashley Timmons and Chloe Roberts led the offensive attack with 16 and 15 kills respectively. Ashley also had a career high of 34 digs, and Chloe chipped in 2 aces and 25 digs. Lindsey Gay had 41 assists and 6 kills, and Allyson Timmons had 7 kills and 2 solo blocks. Kylie Norman added 13 digs, Morgan Adamson had 3 kills, and Sydni Whitaker was 6/6 serving. Tarah Martinez had a personal best of five aces and also added 25 digs. Maicee Sterrett served well with 4 aces and 21 digs.
Boys’ Tennis Tops Tipton
Frankfort dominated singles play en route to a 3-2 victory over Tipton Wednesday night.
