Chris and Suellen Myers of Frankfort, IN are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2020. At the Country Chapel Church of God, near Michigantown, Chris Myers and Suellen Corwin were united in marriage on June 6, 1970. They were blessed with three children: Andy-deceased in 2011, Sara Ellen-deceased in 1976, and Steve of Frankfort, who is married to Shannon Mills Myers. Their two handsome grandsons, Brady and Aaron, were born to Steve and Shannon.
Indiana Gas Co./Vectren Energy was Chris’ employer for 39 ½ years. Then he drove a bus for Paul Philippe Sr. Resource Ctr. for 6 years, retiring in 2019. Suellen retired in 2013, after working as a teacher’s aide/ para-professional for the Comm. Schools of Frankfort for 20 years. Chris has served as a board member of the Country Chapel Church of God and the 1st Wesleyan Church. Suellen has at times led the ladies’ church group, directed Vacation Bible School, and currently teaches a preschool/primary Sunday School class at the 1st Church of the Nazarene after 45 years teaching experience.
Suellen grew up in the Kirklin farm area and graduated from Clinton Central High School in 1965. Frankfort has always been home to Chris. He graduated from Frankfort High School in 1967.
