Chris Wayne Kinzie, 60, of Rossville, passed away at his daughter’s residence surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 27, 2023. He was born on January 1, 1963, in Lafayette to Wayne and Miriam (Skiles) Kinzie. On October 10, 1982, he married Millie Austin, and she survives.
Chris worked as an ag and heavy equipment mechanic for many of the area ag providers. For the last 10 years, he had his own repair service K & K Repair. While working on machinery and repairing was his passion, he enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Along with his wife of 40 years, Chris is survived by his daughters, Mollie (Allen) Osborn and Mandie (Adam) Hollinger; brother, Michael (Wanda) Kinzie; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Janessa Hollinger.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 2-5pm and 6-8pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Middle Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church with the Home Brethren officiating.
