The record high temperature for December 7 several years ago in Frankfort was 65 degrees and the record low ever recorded for December 7 in Frankfort was 3 degrees. Saturday’s high of 42 degrees with sunshine made it ideal for the 2019 Christmas Parade in Frankfort.
49 units participated in the Parade according to Main Street Director Kim Stevens.
First Place parade unit honors went to Frankfort Eagles Lodge 976. Second Place went to the Frankfort High School Marching Band. Third Place went to Frankfort VFW. The Farmers Bank was recognized with an Honorable Mention this year.
Santa was the finale of the parade broadcast LIVE on Hoosierland TV and WILO AM/FM by Cindy Loveless and Ken Hartman made possible by Encompass Credit Union, Wampler’s Services, Inc. and Frankfort Main Street.

The fun continued after the parade with Jingle Mingle on the Square. Shine 99 celebrated local shopping and dining Friday and Saturday evening broadcasting LIVE from Johnny V’s Main Street Grill, Ellis Jewelers, Simple Thyme, Gem City Junction, Lehnen’s Furniture with help from Center Township of Clinton County.
