City of Frankfort Announces Annual Spring Cleanup Week

The Frankfort Street Department

The Frankfort Street Department is providing City of Frankfort residents with the opportunity to clean out and remove their unwanted items during a “Spring Clean-Up” week, April 27th to May 2, 2026.
The annual initiative allows those who pay the city’s sanitation and user fees to drop off items at the Street Department at no additional cost. Identification will be required prior to entry.
Dates: April 27th – May 2, 2026
Times: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; Saturday 8:00 a.m.- Noon
Location: 905 Burlington Avenue, Frankfort, IN 46041
“Residents look forward to this opportunity for spring clean-up every year, and we appreciate their efforts,” said Brian Killman, Street Superintendent. “Now is the time to remove those items that have been an eyesore to you and others to help keep our community looking its best.”
No construction materials, tires, or commercial/contractor loads will be accepted, nor will items be collected from residents’ homes — items must be dropped off.
During the clean-up week, the Street Department will experience additional traffic on the premises. Residents should be mindful of others when entering and exiting to keep the operation running smoothly.
