City of Frankfort Launches “Lemonade Stand Squad” Visits for Young Entrepreneurs

The City of Frankfort is inviting its youngest entrepreneurs to take part in a sweet summer tradition as officials prepare to visit local lemonade stands throughout the month of June.

In a new community initiative, city staff members will travel across Frankfort to support children running lemonade stands, bringing encouragement, conversation, and even a few surprise visits from various city departments. Officials say the goal is to celebrate creativity, entrepreneurship, and community engagement among local youth.

As part of the program, children who host lemonade stands may receive a visit from the city’s “Official Lemonade Stand Squad,” who will also be handing out special commemorative stickers to participants.

City leaders say they are excited to connect with families and young residents in a fun and memorable way while supporting early lessons in business and civic pride.

Families interested in participating are encouraged to contact the Mayor’s Office at 765-654-7332 with stand details, including location and dates of operation. City officials note that participants never know which department may show up during a visit.

The initiative will run throughout June, turning lemonade stands across Frankfort into community gathering spots and helping highlight the creativity of local youth.
