The City of Lebanon and the Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) announced today that D-A Lubricant Company, a Lebanon-based manufacturer of premium lubricants, greases, coolants, and specialty fluid products, plans to expand its existing operations in Boone County with the construction of a new 115,000-square-foot grease manufacturing facility. The project will strengthen D-A Lubricant Company’s existing operations and position its Lebanon headquarters for continued manufacturing activity in the years ahead.
The proposed project represents an estimated $17 million capital investment and will expand D-A Lubricant Company’s domestic production capacity while incorporating advanced automated processing, blending, packaging, and quality-control systems. The investment underscores Boone County’s continued momentum as a destination for advanced manufacturing and long-term corporate investment.
D-A Lubricant Company currently operates at 801 Edwards Drive in Lebanon, where the company manufactures products serving the automotive, commercial transportation, industrial, agricultural, mining, construction, power generation, and manufacturing sectors. Its products are marketed under the D-A and PennGrade 1 brands.
The proposed expansion will include approximately $10 million in real property investment and $7 million in new personal property and manufacturing equipment. The new facility will incorporate automated grease-processing reactors, finishing kettles, homogenizers, material-handling systems, laboratory testing equipment, process controls, storage systems, and automated filling and packaging equipment.
These investments are expected to increase production capacity, improve product consistency and energy efficiency, and support the development of next-generation lubricant and grease products. D-A currently employs approximately 70 employees in Boone County. The company plans to create 10 additional full-time positions, bringing total employment to approximately 80 employees at full build-out in 2029.
