The City of Frankfort changed curbside recycling collection from weekly to monthly while Werner & Son, Inc. works to restore full recycling capabilities following their July 29 fire. Similar to the August schedule, September recycling collection will take place by quadrant. Residents will have their recycling picked up once per month. The schedule for September recycling collection will be:
- September 4 – Southeast
- September 11– Northwest
- September 18 – Northeast
- September 25 – Southwest
Residents are welcome to drop their recycling off at the Frankfort Street Department located at 905 Burlington Ave on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Frankfort Street Department Superintendent Jason Forsythe adds, “We will continue to work with Werner & Son Recycling to restore curbside pickup to a weekly schedule and will update residents as soon as the city can return to normal recycling operations.”
