For the City’s annual Fourth of July celebration in TPA Park, various roadways through the park will be closed to traffic to enhance park visitors’ safety. The Frankfort Police Department will be releasing detailed information regarding street closures around TPA Park to the public before the July 4 Festival.
Activities start in the park at 10:00 a.m. featuring a wide variety of food and craft vendors. The vendors will remain open until the Jaycees fireworks show that begins at dusk. The TPA Petting Zoo & Aviary will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. We encourage you to stop by the newly renovated aviary to see the array of different birds.
DJ Jay Large will be playing music at the park bandstand between acts. The entertainment schedule is as follows:
10 a.m.–11 a.m.: Pound Class with Lindsey Cole
11:30-1:30 p.m.: Darlington Road
2:30 p.m.- 5 p.m.: Hunter Wainscott
6-9 p.m.: Indigos
The Frankfort Jaycees fireworks display will begin at dusk with more than 900 shells provided by Ramsey Pyrotechnics. Due to the fireworks display, the back side of the golf course will be off limits to pedestrian traffic and festival attendees.
Frankfort police officers will be on foot patrols throughout the Park on July 4 and firefighters will be patrolling the park grounds from noon to 11 p.m. as well. As a reminder, individuals are not allowed to light fireworks in TPA Park or consume alcohol. If firefighters or police officers see anyone with fireworks or alcohol, these items can be confiscated.
