Claude Clinton Faust, 81, Forest, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, December 24, 2022. He was born March 23, 1941 in Frankfort, the son of Claude D and Nellie B Messler Faust. Clinton was a 1959 graduate of Frankfort High School. Clinton married Thelma Louise Laughner on July 1, 1962 and they enjoyed a long and happy marriage of 48 years until Thelma’s death in 2010. After high school, Clinton attended Indiana Business College. He worked for the Coca Cola Bottling Plant in Frankfort before starting a life-long career at the Chrysler Transmission Plant in Kok
Clinton is survived by nieces Jonelle Smith, Suzy (Tom) Primavera, Elizabeth Edwards, Roxy White, nephews, Jon Charles Smith, Harold Bradford Stewart, Charles and Carl Faust, sisters-in-law Nina (Arnold) Perry, Joyce Boyer, Stella (Ron) Carter, Karla Laughner, Brenda Hall, Mary Faust; Laughner nieces and nephews Regina Passmore, Brian (Ann) Perry, Marie Embrey, Dana (James) Schogtins, Davey Embrey, Jennifer Carter, Valerie (Sean) Galvin, Julia (Kevin) Pfeifle, Mia Carter, Melissa (Ricky) Black, Morris Carter, Jeremiah (Jodie) Laughner, Steven (Ashley) Hall, Doug (Amanda) Atkins, Gerald Boyer, and Samuel (Jordan) Boyer. Additionally, Clinton has 32 great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews. Clinton is also survived by girlfriend Donna Jean Ferrell and special great nephew Scott (Tina) Stewart who assisted him in farming operations.
In addition to his wife and parents, Clinton is preceded in death by siblings Elmer Dick Faust, Grace (Tilman) Snipes, Charlene (Charles) Smith; brother-in-law Dennis Laughner, sister-in-law Martha (David) Embrey and nieces Nancy (Steve) Pulley, and Ruth Ann Embrey.
Services for Clinton will be held on January 9, 2022 at 2pm at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort, with Rev. Phil Lake officiating. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon until the start of the service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.
