The National Weather Service has upgraded the severe thunderstorm watch to a severe thunderstorm warning for the Clinton, Boone and Carroll region with large hail and winds up to 60 miles-per-hour possible.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Clinton, Boone and Carroll counties until 4 p.m. today, March 14.
The National Weather Service stated that the “severe” designation indicates that there may be a significant threat to life or property and community members should take action in the near future.
Community members are encouraged to monitor the situation and take further precautions if necessary.
According to meteorologists within the region, the forecast for the storms today, March 14, have a possibility of tornadoes and high winds that could develop. As well, there is a likelihood of hail for some parts of the North Central Indiana region. As for floods, meteorologists expect a low chance of flooding.
Outlooks are showing a likelihood for a severe thunderstorm warning to be issued for the western areas of Clinton, Carroll and Boone counties until 11:30 a.m.
