The Clinton Central Education Foundation awarded numerous grants to teacher-led projects that intend to inspire learning and creativity across the classrooms at Clinton Central.
This year saw four recipients of grants through the foundation, ranging from projects remaining in-house to projects that promise to take the students of Clinton Central on educational adventures outside of the school walls.
The first project receiving a grant was the Math in Motion Project that allows sixth-grade students to “level up” their math skills by utilizing hands-on materials designed to boost comprehension in confidence.
The second project receiving a grant was the Author Visit with Stef Wade, which will stand as a school-wide treat as Wade visits with all of the students for a literary adventure.
The third project receiving a grant was the Across the Generations Project that allows for third-grade students to learn about preserving history and honoring their families by publishing books about their loved ones in a heartwarming celebration of storytelling and legacy.
The final project receiving a grant was the Museum of Science and Industry Field Trip that permits sixth-grade students to embark on a journey of discovery at the Chicago museum. The grant will cover the admission for the adventure.
“We’re so thankful for the dedication of our educators and their commitment to making learning unforgettable,” the foundation released. “Wishing all of our teachers, students and families a very Happy Thanksgiving.”
