Clinton Central Girls’ Basketball Team Off to 2-0 Start

Kendall Davison scored 18 points and Allison Robbins added 14 to lead Clinton Central to a 42-38 non-conference girls’ basketball victory over Perry Meridian Tuesday night in Indianapolis.

Trailing by five after one quarter, the Bulldogs, now 2-0, ramped up the defensive pressure to take a 21-19 lead at halftime and increased that to 29-24 after three periods.

Davison led the team in rebounds with seven, while Robbins added six boards. The Bulldogs also had 12 steals with Davison leading the way with six. Robbins and Sam Adams each had three steals.

In their season opener on November 8, Central outscored Frontier 32-20 in the middle two quarters on its way to a 51-36 victory at home.

Davison led the way with 19 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, five steals, one block and one charge taken. Sara Parkinson was next with 15 points, Addy Sheets had seven point followed by Robbins with six points, six assists and four rebounds. Adams added five rebounds.

Rossville Girls’ Basketball

Michelle Rodkey scored 12 points for Rossville in a 36-23 loss to Seeger Thursday night. Rodkey also had five rebounds and three steals for the Hornets.

Rossville opened the season on Nov. 10 against Western Boone and came away with a 44-35 win over Western Boone.

Emma Lawson led the way with 12 points. Madison Miller and Avery Gobett each added eight points, and Kennedy Houser tallied seven points and seven rebounds. Gobett had a team-high eight rebounds.
