Clinton Central opened its volleyball season with a 3-1 road victory over Sheridan on Tuesday night.
Kendall Davison led the way with 17 kills, Bridgette Royer was next with 12 and Sam Adams had 10. Ava Schimmel started off the season with 39 assists.
After dropping the first game 25-22, the Bulldogs won the next three by scores of 25-13, 25-16 and 25-18.
CC Girls’ Golf Victorious
Kailie Burnette took medalist honors with a 43 as Clinton Central defeated Elwood 187-215 Wednesday at Elwood Links.
Frankfort Drops Volleyball Opener
The Hot Dog volleyball team struggled in their season losing 3-0 to Rossville at Case Arena.
Lindsey Gay led the offense with 17 assists and six kills. Morgan Adamson and Bella Colby each had five kills and Maicee Sterrett had four kills. Allyson Timmons played well with two solo blocks, three kills and an ace. Tarah Martinez led in serving with two aces on 14/14 total attempts. Mercedez Toney added six digs and Eryka Pillion had two digs.
FHS Girls’ Soccer Fall to Logansport
The Lady Hot Dogs traveled to Logansport Tuesday night and fell 3-1. The Hot Dogs lost a tying goal in the first half when they were called for off sides.
The lone goal was scored by senior Liz Cruz Sandoval. It was her first of the year and 29th of her career and moved her into a three-way tie for the girls’ program with Lydia Thompson and Flor Lopez.
FHS Boys’ Tennis Beaten by LCC
The Frankfort boys’ tennis team opened the season with a 5-0 loss at home to Lafayette Central Catholic.

DOUBLES: Zach Melville-Sam Siemens (LCC) def. Elijah West-Luke Hodge 6-2, 6-4; Nathan Bapst-Calvin Pickerill (LCC) def. Eli Grasham-Edwin Wainscott 6-0, 6-0.
