The Clinton Central Girls’ basketball team finished as the champions of the Union City Tournament.
Carly Davison was named MVP of the tournament. Davison, Lynsie Wallsmith, and Emily Long were named to the all-tournament team.
The Bulldogs picked up a first-round win over Blackford 52-17. Davison led all scorers with 23 in the win.
In the second round, Clinton Central took down the host school Union City 40-22 with Davison leading the way once again with 20 points.
In the championship game, the Bulldogs took on the Fort Wayne Blackhawks. Clinton Central pulled out a nail-biter 48-47. Riley Dellinger, Davison and Long all finished in double-figures in the game.
