The Clinton County Area Board of Zoning Appeals will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will take place in the County Meeting Room at the Clinton County Annex Building, located at 2 E. Washington Street, Suite 105, in Frankfort.
The meeting will begin with a call to order, roll call of members and disposition of the minutes before moving into old business and public hearings.
Three special exception applications are scheduled for consideration during the public hearing portion of the meeting:
- Application #CC-2026-00758, Docket #36-26-SE: Chris Hensley, 1880 E. County Road 600 N., Frankfort, is requesting a Special Exception to allow construction of an accessory apartment in an accessory structure on the same parcel as an existing primary dwelling. The property is zoned A-1, Agricultural, and is located at 1880 E. County Road 600 N. in Owen Township.
- Application #CC-2026-00767, Docket #37-25-SE: Anytime Outhouse/JB & Nikki Love, 5503 N. 500 W., Thorntown, are requesting a Special Exception to operate a contractor’s business in the A-1, Agricultural, Zoning District. The petition site is located at 9450 W. County Road 300 S. in Perry Township.
- Application #CC-2026-00768, Docket #38-26-SE: Myles Hunley, 6492 N. County Road 950 W., Mulberry, is requesting a Special Exception to operate a Class II day care within a dwelling in the A-1, Agricultural, Zoning District. The petition site is located at 6106 N. County Road 950 W. in Madison Township.
Following the public hearings, the board will address new business before announcing its next meeting, scheduled for October 27, 2026, and adjourning.
Clinton County will provide appropriate aids and services, with 48 hours’ notice, to allow qualified persons with disabilities to participate equally in programs and services.
