The Clinton County Veteran Services Office and Area Plan Office will move into the new County Annex Building on Tuesday, October 21, as the county’s two-week relocation from the historic Courthouse continues.

The Veteran Services Office (VSO) will be in Suite 102 on the first floor of the new Annex. The office will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, October 21–22, to complete the move and setup.

Veterans needing assistance during that time are encouraged to contact neighboring counties for temporary support:

·      Boone County Veteran Service Officer, Mike Spidel: (765) 483-4480

·      Tippecanoe County Veteran Service Officer, James Harris: (765) 742-7826

The Area Plan Office, previously located in the Old Stoney building at Frankfort City Hall, will also move into the Annex’s first floor, Suite 104, and begin operating there later this week. While services will remain available, residents should expect some delays and limited in-person assistance as the office transitions computers and phone systems.

“Because construction and inspections can’t completely stop during the busy season, we’ll continue handling permit reviews and field work as best we can,” says Liz Stitzel, Executive Director of the Area Plan Commission. “We’ve advised contractors and homeowners that there may be short delays next week, but we’ll do everything possible to stay responsive.”

In emergencies, messages may also be left with Frankfort Building Services, and staff will return calls as soon as possible.
