Clinton County Central Dispatch announced the receipt of an almost $87,000 grant from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security through its State Homeland Security Program grant program.
The department announced the award of $86,798.86, which is expected to be utilized to enhance the department’s ability to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters in the Clinton County community. The funds are expected to be utilized for critical upgrades in technology and equipment while also training personnel to ensure efficient and effective dispatch operations to continue the team’s service to the Clinton County community.
“We are grateful for the support from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security,” Director Renee Crick said. “This grant will significantly improve our capabilities, ensuring that we can continue to provide the highest level of service and safety to our community.”
The State Homeland Security Program grant is intended to showcase Indiana’s commitment to strengthening public safety infrastructure across the state. The funding will enable the Clinton County department to enhance emergency response initiatives and improve coordination with local law enforcement, fire departments and emergency medical services.
