Clinton County Civic Theatre Presents “Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors”

Clinton County Civic Theatre will present “Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors” October 8-11 at the Skanta Theatre inside the Frankfort Community Public Library.

The production is a 90-minute comedy that combines Bram Stoker’s classic vampire story with the style of Mel Brooks, Monty Python and The 39 Steps. The production follows Lucy Westfeldt and her fiancé, Jonathan Harker, as they seek the help of famed female vampire hunter Doctor Jean Van Helsing after Lucy’s sister Mina becomes ill with a mysterious blood disease.

The show features five actors playing more than a dozen characters, with quick-change antics, wordplay and a comedic take on the classic Dracula story.

CCCT is also introducing members of the cast throughout show week. Ellen Osborne plays Lucy, Kitty and the Driver, while Elijah Dick portrays Harker, the Suitors, Bosun and Gravedigger.

Osborne is returning to the CCCT stage after appearing as Jane in “Bull in a China Shop.” Dick returns following last season’s “Tangled Webbs.”

Performances are scheduled for Thursday, October 8, Friday, October 9, and Saturday, October 10 at 7:30 p.m., with a closing matinee Sunday, October 11 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $12 and are available at www.ccctonline.org or by calling the box office at 765-601-3904.
