Clinton County Civic Theatre Scholarship Is Live

The Clinton County Civic Theatre cast of “Reading Between The Lies” takes a bow.

The Clinton County Civic Theatre announced that its scholarship committee is on the search for a Clinton County graduating senior to receive a scholarship as they pursue a career in the performing arts.

The scholarship acts as a $1,000 non-renewable scholarship to benefit those entering the field of the performing arts.

The Clinton County Civic Theatre scholarship has been funded since 1995 as one dollar of every ticket sold since its inception has been deposited into the scholarship fund, and since its inception, the theatre has awarded over $46,000 to more than 50 high school seniors with plans to pursue the performing arts in college.

Scholarships are available through the fund for graduating seniors from Rossville, Clinton Prairie, Clinton Central, The Crossing and Frankfort High School who are pursuing a career in theatre, television, music, radio or other performance or production art.

The application asks for name, date, address, phone, high school, date of graduation and parent or guardian information alongside a list of universities or colleges that the applicant has received an acceptance letter to attend.

The application also requests a list of community or school activities related to the performing arts, other community or school activities, a brief essay on how the scholarship will prepare the applicant for the future and transcripts.
