Spring Creek wanders through Camp Cullom in northwest Clinton County. Upstream and south of Camp Cullom, Spring Creek also travels under the busy Mulberry-Jefferson Road at a point about one half mile east of the 700 West Deer Track Golf Course turnoff.

Federal funding of $2,188,697 has been secured for the bridge replacement over Spring Creek on Mulberry-Jefferson Road and the Clinton County meeting notes indicate the bridge will be replaced in 2029 consistent with the multi-year federal/state funding timeline.
In the Clinton County Commissioners meeting this morning at the Frankfort/Clinton County airport, commissioners agreed at the request of Rick Campbell, County Highway Superintendent, to approve four right of way agreements needed for the bridge project.
INDOT’S state transportation improvement program amendment shows this bridge (#51) is under the Local Bridge Program with new federal funds programmed for preliminary engineering of about $425,000 in FY 2026 and right-of-way about $70,000 by FY 2029. Clinton County has about 160 bridges with a 20-foot span or more.
Rick Campbell and The County Highway Department were also recognized for the excellent job done clearing the roads during the last snow event late last week.
