Clinton County Courthouse to be Closed Beginning Tuesday

he Clinton County Commissioners issued a statement late Monday afternoon that beginning Tuesday morning, the Clinton County Courthouse will be closed to the public until April 7. The offices could be closed longer should the need arise.

We encourage everyone to call the offices with questions or requests for information. If your call is not immediately answered, leave a voicemail and someone will return your call. We will do our best to ensure that your County government continues to function.

The Clinton County Superior and Circuit Courts will continue to operate on a limited basis. All meetings during this time period are closed to the public. By executive order of the Governor the open door laws have been suspended. The order also waives the requirement for governing bodies to meet in person, meetings can be held via conference call, video conference, etc. Meeting agendas will be kept to only functions the County Commissioners and County Council deem to be essential for County government to continue to function.
