Clinton County EMS Hosting Community Blood Drive May 20

The agency recently announced its partnership with Eskenazi Health and Versiti Blood Center to host a community blood drive aimed at supporting the region’s blood supply and helping save lives across Indiana.

For trauma patients suffering from severe bleeding, rapid blood administration can make the difference between life and death. According to medical research, mortality increases by approximately 2% for every minute blood transfusion is delayed.

“Blood saves lives immediately — not later and not just at the hospital,” Clinton County EMS stated in its announcement. “We are dedicated to bringing hospital-level trauma care directly to our patients in the field.”

The upcoming blood drive will take place:

 Wednesday, May 20
3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Clinton County Annex Building – 2nd Floor Conference Room

Appointments can be scheduled online through Versiti Blood Center.
