At a special meeting held Thursday afternoon, Clinton County Commissioners heard from Fair Council members and Dr. Steve Tharpe and decided in light of the recent up tick in Covid 19 cases there will be no rides next week at the Clinton County Fair. All 4-H events and grandstand events will still go on. Some members of the Fair Board voiced concerns that they felt blind sided while Commissioners President Josh Uitts admitted communication could have been better and acknowledged the timing “stinks”.
