The Clinton County Family YMCA has announced its Activity Guide for March and April.
LAZY MAN TRIATHLON (Swim, Bike or Run)
Throughout the month of March, you are invited to participate in this indoor Triathlon at your own pace. The proceeds from this month long event will go toward
the Aquatics Center.
Challenge Details:
Two Competition Options
Full Triathlon Individually
Family/Partner Triathlon – Split the distances to complete the triathlon together.
Distances to Complete:
Swim 2.4 Miles (3840 yards/76 Laps) through one of these options
Take a Water Fitness Class = .6 miles/960 yds per class
Swim laps (a kickboard may be used)
Water Walking – 1 mile = 36 laps around the shallow end
Bike 112 Miles
Stationary Cycling in the Fitness Room
Spin Class – 1 hour class = 10 miles
Bike on noodle in the pool – 6 minutes = 1 mile
Run/Walk 26.2 Miles
Treadmill run/walk
Track run/walk – 17 laps = 1 mile
Aerobics Class 1 class = 3 miles
How the winners are selected:
To win this challenge you must be the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd individual/team to complete the miles.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Individual Winners will receive1 complimentary month of membership.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Family/Partner Winners will receive1 complimentary month of a Family membership.

The YAC is appropriate for children of almost any age. It is equipped with youth exercise equipment, ninja warrior course, and a rock climbing wall.

Aspire at the Y
We are working to combat childhood obesity, build confidence, and show children what they can achieve by their participation in youth sports. Aspire at the Y is a partnership between the Clinton County Family YMCA and the Center Township Trustee’s Office to provide complimentary youth sports and swim lessons to children who reside in Center Township.

Children in grades K – 12 are invited to join this gym and swim wellness program aimed at teaching teamwork, confidence, and healthy living. Participants will participate in programming in the gym for the first half followed by programming in the pool.

Parent’s Night Out
We host a monthly Parent’s Night Out event to provide parents with a safe and fun babysitting option. This program is appropriate for children 3-14 years of age. Each month, we have a different theme to engage participants. Each month will include physical activities, dinner, and crafts.

Get ready for summer with healthy, fun activities for kids and adults. Bring your friends, bring your family, and let’s create a stronger, healthier community for everyone.
This year, we are going to allow parents to drop off their children to enjoy a variety of activities with adult supervision. Parent’s Day Out is free of charge but limited to the first 100 children to register. Activities will include swimming, ninja warrior course, healthy lunch, and day camp style programming.

Throughout the course of a year, 15,240 hours are spent working with school age children on literacy and homework at the Y. All YMCA Youth Sports programs are designed to teach children the fundamentals of each sport while emphasizing the six pillars of good character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, citizenship, fairness, and caring.

Adult Wellness Programs
Beastmode Activated
Program Begins March 30-May 11
Cost: $75 Members/$150 Non Members
This program is designed for people ready to activate their inner beast to make a lifestyle change. This programs gives you the resources you need to lose weight, tone your body, and gain confidence. Through this program participants receive 2 personal training session per week, weekly weigh ins and measurements, and a chance to win $250 in cash prizes. The winners of Beastmode will be determined by % of weight loss. Space is limited so do not wait to register.
Rock Steady Boxing
Tuesday &Thursday 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM
In partnership with Witham Health Services, we offer Rock Steady Boxing to people living with Parkinson’s Disease. Though it may seem surprising, this
non-contact boxing-inspired fitness routine is dramatically improving the ability of people with Parkinson’s to live independent lives.
