Clinton County Family YMCA Releases Current Happenings

The Clinton County Family YMCA is announcing the following programs and events are currently going on.

Enroll In Learning Ladder
We are now enrolling children ages 3 to 5 years of age for our Learning Ladder Early Learning Preschool and Childcare program. At the Y, we believe that early learning sets the foundation for a child’s ability to learn later in life. At the Y, we prepare children for school socially and cognitively by utilizing a play based curriculum called Creative Curriculum. As a Paths to QUALITY Level 3 provider we are designated as a high quality child care.

In an effort to ensure that early learning is available to all children in our community we are an On My Way Pre K and CCDF provider. If you are in need of financial assistance to send your child to preschool please visit https://www.in.gov/fssa/carefinder/on-my-way-pre-k/.

For more information about our program please visit our website or reach out to our Early Learning Director at [email protected].

NEW NEW NEW
We just got in some new fitness equipment! Thanks to Farmers Bank, we were able to purchase some brand new items to have around the Y.

We have a new machine which is wonderful. It will work all parts of your legs at once. It is a leg press/hack press combo machine.

We also just got in some more free weights, waiting to be unboxed. We should have all of these available to members soon. Let us know how you like them and don’t be afraid to ask the front desk about assistance on learning how to properly use the new machine.

Youth Sports Sign ups
Youth basketball and cheer are back! We are now beginning registration which will last through December 7. We hope to have the teams practice in December with games starting up in January.

Check out the image at the bottom of the page for some more information.

Halloween At The Y
Yes! We are still on for Halloween At The Y! We are so excited to be able to still take this on this year. Halloween will look a bit different, as we will be doing a drive through. We will have goodie bags full of awesome treats for the kids in our community to take home!

It will take place on Saturday, October 31 from 6-7:30 p.m. Come out out dressed up in your best costumes. Check out our Facebook page Friday the 30… We will be hosting a virtual costume contest. On our post that Friday, comment a picture of you, your family, your pet, or friends all dressed up. The costume with the most like will win an amazing prize, so stay tuned!

Grab n Go Meals
We are continuing our Grab n Go Meals! This program provides families and individuals in need healthy dinners during the week. Thanks to the USDA Grant, we are able to continue this program through the fall. Check out the graphic below for more information on site locations and times. Spread the word for friends and other community members. Ages K-18 welcome and this is no questions asked. Take as many meals as needed.
