Clinton County Health Department Director Rodney Wann announced Friday morning that the first death from COVID-19 in Clinton County has happened. Out of respect of privacy laws and the patient’s family, no further personal information will be released. Wann added there are a total of 10 positive cases in Clinton County.
Wann also said clarification is needed when it to comes to which county a death is attributed to. He said when an individual from here goest on to live in a long-term care facility for a period of time in another county, that person’s death is given to the county where the individual died.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. It is a respiratory illness.
