Clinton County testing is up slightly and the percentage of all those tests being positive cases are up significantly.
According to Clinton County Heath Department Administrator Rodney Wann, Clinton County has 17 new cases reported in 2 days and the 7 day positivity rate has risen above 6%.
According to in.gov site Sunday night, Clinton County is seeing a larger percentage of those tested show positive results. (See graph below).
WILO and Clinton County Daily News will keep you posted on this development. As school starts, the frequency of mask wearing in Clinton County is certain to increase.
State-wide cases experienced a surge in March and April. State-wide case count then diminished daily until the end of June and then the daily case count has been rising quickly since the end of June. (See last graph below)
As case counts increase or decrease, there is obviously a delay on death count. Since late June, the Indiana state-wide daily death number has almost always stayed under 15 per day state-wide regardless of the surging case count.
Whether that can continue will be a key metric to watch.
