Clinton County Purdue Extension Hosts ServSafe 2-Day Class & Exam For February; Registration Due Feb. 3

The Clinton County Purdue Extension Office has announced the upcoming ServSafe Food Manager 2-Day Class and Examination set to kick off Feb. 17 and continue on Feb. 24.

The class will occur on Feb. 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Feb. 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Clinton County Extension Office at 1111 S. Jackson St. in Frankfort.

Attendees who satisfy all the Indiana requirements will become a Certified Food Protection Manager, and the training is designed to satisfy all requirements. The training focuses on foodborne microorganisms and allergens, personal hygiene, purchasing, receiving and storage, preparing, cooking and serving and facilities, cleaning, sanitation and managing pests.

The training includes three pricing options, including the raining, manual and proctored exam for $165, manual and proctored exam for $115 or the proctored exam for $65. Participants must score 70-percent or higher to earn the certificate. The certification is valid for five years.

A photo ID with signature is required to take the exam.

The exam will be held on Feb. 24 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. following the second day of training.
