Community members have been invited to celebrate Arbor Day with the Clinton County Soil and Water Conservation District by participating in the free tree seedling giveaway occurring through this Thursday, April 24.
The District announced that beginning yesterday, April 21, community members may receive free seedlings in front of the District office at 860 S. Prairie Ave. in Frankfort during business hours.
The District stated that there will be a limit of five seedlings per household with any combination of the seedlings.
This year’s selection includes white pine, black oak, black walnut, bur oak and ninebark.
Community members are encouraged to receive their seedlings as soon as possible as the supply typically runs out before closing on Thursday.
