Clinton County Special Olympics Gears Up For Summer Games June 6 Through June 9

Arc of Clinton County Executive Director Sandra Stevenson delivers a $3,000 donation to the Clinton County Special Olympics in March in anticipation for the Summer Games.

The Clinton County Special Olympics teams are gearing up for the summer games being held this weekend from June 7 through June 9 at Indiana State University in Terre Haute.

The Clinton County teams will be facing off against others from across the state in bowling, track and field and volleyball as they vie for coveted awards amidst exciting activities such as comedy shows and dance parties.

The Summer Games are the Indiana Special Olympics’ largest annual competition that sees more than 2,100 athletes and Unified partners from across the state gather on the Indiana State and Rose-Hulman campuses for the three days of competition filled with achievement, friendship, fun, ceremony and celebration.

This year kicks off the 55th Annual Summer Games with the theme of “A Journey to Your Heart,” inspired by the Athlete Leadership Conference held at the State Conference in October 2023.

The event is made possible through the support of more than 1,500 event volunteers, sponsors and donors.
