The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Wind Chill Advisory from 6 p.m. tonight (Sunday) until noon Monday for portions of central, east central and west central Indiana, including Clinton County.
Besides Clinton, other affected areas include Bartholomew, Boone, Carroll, Decatur, Delaware, Fountain, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Morgan, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion and Warren counties.
Very cold wind chills are expected. Wind chills as low as 20 below zero are expected. The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Frostbite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
