Clinton County Under Wind Chill Advisory Until Mid-Friday

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for central, east central, north central and west central Indiana, including Clinton County from 11 p.m. tonight until 1 p.m. Friday. Very cold wind chills are expected. Winds chills as low as 20 below zero expected.

Besides Clinton, other affected areas are Boone, Carroll, Delaware, Fountain, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion and Warren.

The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Frostbite or hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
