Clinton County Under Wind Chill Warning Until Mid-Thursday

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Wind Chill Warning, which is in effect from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 1 p.m. Thursday for Clinton County. Dangerously cold wind chills of 30 to 40 below zero are expected. The dangerously cold wind chills can cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

Besides Clinton, other affected areas include Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Carroll, Clay, Daviess, Delaware, Fountain, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Howard, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush. Shelby, Sullivan, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren counties.

A Wind Chill Warning means the combination of very cold air and the wind will create dangerously low wind chill values. Frostbite can occur quickly and even hypothermia or death if precautions are not taken.
