The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of central, south central, southeast and west central Indiana, including Clinton County, from 4 p.m. this (Thursday) afternoon to 10 a.m. Friday.
Snow and possibly light freezing drizzle is expected. Total snow accumulations of up to two inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze expected due to freezing drizzle. Ice will be more likely late tonight into early Friday morning.
Besides Clinton, other affected areas include Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Clay, Decatur, Fountain, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Rush, Shelby, Tippecanoe, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren counties.
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet and freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
