Clinton County Will Be Under Wind Advisory on Sunday

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday for Clinton County. Winds of 25 to 35 mph will be expected with gusts to 45 mph being possible.

Impacted areas besides Clinton are Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Carroll, Clay, Daviess, Decatur, Delaware, Fountain, Greene, Hamilton, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren.

Impacts will be on tree limbs and Halloween decorations. Lawn furniture and garbage cans may be blown down, around and about. Power outages caused by downed tree limbs is possible.

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or wind gusts of 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Motorists are urged to use extra caution. Residents are advised to secure any outdoor items that may be easily blown about.
